Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and us about using Faraatarjomeh. Please read them before you create an account.
This English text is a translation for convenience. The Persian text governs.
1. The parties and acceptance
- These terms are the agreement between you (the user) and Faraatar Comprehensive Technology Solutions Company, a member of the Faraatar Entrepreneurship Group ("we") about using Faraatarjomeh (faraatarjomeh.com), its tools and its API.
- By creating an account or using Faraatarjomeh, you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use Faraatarjomeh.
- To create an account and buy Fara you must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity. Anyone under 18 should use Faraatarjomeh only with the permission and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- If you use Faraatarjomeh for a company or organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf.
- These terms are written under the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in particular the Electronic Commerce Law (2004) and the Consumer Rights Protection Law (2009). No clause in these terms takes away a right those laws give you.
2. The service
- Faraatarjomeh uses machine translation (AI) to turn English text into Persian, and offers other tools such as video dubbing, meeting minutes, Persian voice, audio to text, and making slides, mind maps, podcasts, audiobooks and LinkedIn posts from a translation.
- Document translation is English into Persian only, and takes PDF files only: up to 100 MB, one file at a time, no password protection. A file with no readable text is refused before anything is charged.
- The delivery times we show are estimates, not guarantees.
- Some tools may be unavailable at times, and we may change or retire a tool. Retiring a tool takes nothing from your Fara balance.
- Faraatarjomeh does not provide certified (official) translation, and its outputs do not replace one.
3. Your account
- The details you give when creating an account must be correct and your own.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
- If you think someone has signed in to your account without permission, change your password and tell us without delay.
- Each person receives the signup gift Fara once. Creating several accounts to get more gifts is not allowed.
4. Payment and Fara credit
- Fara (✦) is Faraatarjomeh's prepaid credit and can be used only for Faraatarjomeh's services. Fara is not money or a bank wallet, cannot be moved to another account, and cannot be turned into money except as Section 6 allows.
- Fara is sold in one-time packs. There is no subscription and no monthly commitment. The price of each pack is shown in toman before you pay. Pack prices are shown without value added tax; 10% tax is added to the price when you pay.
- Payments go through the Zarinpal gateway, using Iranian bank cards. Fara is added to your account once the gateway confirms the payment.
- If you paid but the Fara did not arrive, tell us the payment tracking number. A payment the gateway does not confirm goes back to the payer under the rules of the banking network.
- We may change pack prices and job rates. The amount of Fara in each purchase is fixed when you pay, and a price change takes nothing from Fara you have already bought. Each job is estimated at the rate in force when it starts, and the estimate is shown to you before you start.
- New accounts receive a Fara gift after confirming their email address. We set the amount of the gift, and it may change. Gift Fara cannot be turned into money or moved.
- No time limit has been set for using Fara.
5. Job charges and returns of Fara
- Analysing a file and estimating its cost is free. Nothing is taken from your Fara until you press start.
- When a job starts, its estimated cost is held from your balance.
- Document translation is estimated from the word count. The final charge is the real cost of the job and can be a little higher or lower than the estimate.
- For audio and video tools, the final charge is never more than the amount held when the job starts.
- Automatic return: if a job fails or you cancel it, the held amount goes back to your balance by itself.
- Automatic return: if more than half of a book stays in English, nothing is charged and you still receive the files.
- Return on request: if you were charged but the job was not delivered, and the amount has not come back to your balance by itself, write to info@faraatarjomeh.com. After checking, we return the full amount to your Fara balance within 10 working days at most.
- If you resend failed sections, you pay only for what is translated again. No job is charged twice.
- These returns go to your Fara balance.
6. Refund of purchased Fara
- Within 7 working days of buying a pack, without giving any reason, you can ask for a refund of the unused Fara from that pack. The money is refunded, with nothing deducted, to the card you paid with; if that is not possible, to a bank account in the payer's own name. This is the right of withdrawal under Article 37 of the Electronic Commerce Law.
- Send the request from the email address of your account to info@faraatarjomeh.com, with the payment tracking number. After checking it, we pay the amount within 10 working days at most.
- The refund is the matching share of the full amount you paid for that pack, including its value added tax. If you have spent Fara since the purchase, it counts as spent from this pack first, and only what is left of it is refunded. After the refund, the same amount of Fara is removed from your account.
- By pressing start on a job, you agree that the service is performed right away, before the 7 days end; so Fara spent on a job is not refunded (Article 1 of the executive regulation on Articles 38 and 42 of the Electronic Commerce Law). For a job that failed or was not delivered, the returns in Section 5 apply.
- Gift Fara is not refunded.
- After 7 working days, bought Fara cannot be turned into money, with three exceptions: if we stop running Faraatarjomeh for good; if we close your account although you have not broken these terms; or if you do not agree to a new version of these terms or of the privacy policy and ask us to close your account before it comes into force. In those three cases we pay you the value of the unused bought Fara.
7. Allowed use and rights in works
- Upload only files that you own or have the right to translate and use. Under the Law for the Protection of the Rights of Writers, Composers and Artists (1970), the right to translate and publish a work, as far as the law protects it, belongs to its creator; the laws of other countries may also apply to a work.
- Having that right, and anything that follows from publishing a translation, is your responsibility. We do not check uploaded content before processing it.
- You keep your rights in your files. You only allow us to process and store them to do the work you asked for, as the privacy policy describes.
- The outputs are yours to use, as far as the rights of the owner of the original work allow.
- You may not upload or create: content that is a crime under the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran; content that breaks the rights of others, including their privacy or intellectual property; or infected or harmful files.
- To keep a speaker's voice in video dubbing, you must have that speaker's permission.
- You may not: try to break into the service, bring it down or overload it; get around its limits or its payment system; scrape the site automatically; or sell access to Faraatarjomeh without an agreement with us.
- If a work of yours was processed on Faraatarjomeh without your permission, tell us at info@faraatarjomeh.com and we will look into it.
8. Outputs and liability
- Faraatarjomeh's output is machine translation and may contain errors, omissions or layout problems. What you receive is a draft. Reading and correcting it before any use is your responsibility, especially for legal, medical, financial or official texts.
- We are not liable for losses that come from using an output without reviewing it.
- We try to keep Faraatarjomeh available at all times, but it may be unavailable for a while, or a job may be late, because of maintenance, technical faults, disruption of the internet or of outside services, or events beyond our control. A job that is not delivered in these cases is handled under Section 5.
- As far as the law allows, our liability for any claim about a job is no more than the amount you paid for that job. This limit does not apply to harm we cause on purpose or through our fault, or to rights the law gives consumers.
- Keep your own copy of important files and outputs.
9. The API
- You create API keys only from your profile page, after signing in. A key is shown only once; keep it secret, and never put it in public code or in a browser. An API key cannot buy Fara or manage keys.
- Everything done with your key is paid from the Fara of that account, under the same charging and return rules as the website, and is your responsibility. If a key leaks, revoke it without delay.
- Each key has a limit on the number of requests. Getting around that limit, for example by creating many keys or accounts, is not allowed. The limits and technical rules are in the API guide on this site.
- If you register a webhook, you are responsible for the receiving address and its security. Events are sent signed so you can check them.
- We may change the API or its limits. A change that would break your code is announced in the API guide before it comes into force.
10. Suspension and closing accounts
- If you break these terms, including by misusing the gift, payments or the API; if a competent public body orders it; or if your account puts the security of the service or of others at risk, we may limit your access, suspend your account or close it.
- Unless the law or security prevents it, we tell you the reason by email. You can object by email, and we reply within 10 working days at most.
- If an account is closed for breaking these terms, its remaining Fara is not refunded, unless the law requires otherwise.
- You can also ask us to close and erase your account at any time (Privacy, Section 7).
11. Changes to these terms
- We may change these terms. Each new version is published on this page with its version number and the date it comes into force.
- We also tell you about important changes by email at least 7 days before they come into force.
- A change does not affect a job that started before it, and takes nothing from Fara you bought before it.
- If you keep using Faraatarjomeh after that notice period, you accept the new version. If you do not agree with it, you can stop using the service and ask us to close your account; your unused bought Fara is then paid back under Section 6.
12. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
- If a dispute comes up, first write to info@faraatarjomeh.com. We will try to settle it by talking within 30 days.
- If talking does not settle it, the dispute goes to the competent courts of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This clause does not take away your right to complain to consumer protection bodies, the Government Discretionary Penalties Organisation, or the e-Namad complaints system.
- If a clause of these terms is found void, the other clauses stay valid.
- The Persian text of these terms governs. The English translation is for convenience only.
